Privacy Policy, All Well Daily

All Well Daily is made by Sadie Innovations LLC, a company based in North Carolina, USA.

This policy explains, in plain language, what information All Well Daily collects, why, who handles it for us, how long we keep it, and how you can have it deleted. If anything here is unclear, email us at [email protected] and we will explain.

All Well Daily is launching soon. This policy describes the service as it will work at launch.

The short version

  • We collect only what the service needs to work: your settings, the contacts you choose, and a record of your check-ins.
  • We never sell personal information. Ever.
  • Your contacts' phone numbers are used for one thing only: sending the alerts you set up.
  • You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will.

What we collect

Information you give us in the app

  • Your name, so your alert message can say who has not checked in.
  • Your daily deadline and reminder settings, the time you choose, and when you want to be reminded before it.
  • Your contacts, the names and mobile numbers of the people you choose to be alerted about you. You type these in yourself.
  • Your alert message, the wording you set (or edit) for the alert text.
  • An optional photo, if you choose one, such as a photo of your dog or your family, to be sent with your alert.

In the launch version of All Well Daily, this information is kept on your phone and on our server, because the server is what watches your deadline, including when your phone is off, out of battery, or out of signal, and sends the alert if you miss it.

Check-in records

  • The times you check in, and the times an alert is sent. We keep these so the service can work out whether you have checked in, and so you (and we) can see that the service did what it was supposed to do.

If you register your interest on our website

  • Your email address, so we can tell you when All Well Daily launches.
  • One optional choice, whether you are interested "for me", "for my parent", or "for my pet", so we can write to you about the right thing.
  • We use double opt-in: we send you a confirmation email first, and your address only counts once you confirm it.

Website statistics

  • Our website is a simple site with no advertising trackers. We keep basic, privacy-respecting website statistics, the kind that tell us how many people visited a page, without following you around the internet.

Why we collect it

Only to run the service you asked for:

  • To remind you before your deadline.
  • To watch your deadline and, if you miss it (and the 15-minute grace period after it), to send your alert to the contacts you chose.
  • To send your SOS alert straight away if you press SOS.
  • To tell you when All Well Daily launches, if you registered your interest.
  • To keep the service working properly and fix problems.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build profiles about you for anyone else.

Who handles it for us

We cannot run everything ourselves, so a small number of companies process information on our behalf, only so the service works:

  • Our texting provider (Twilio), sends the alert texts. Your contacts' numbers and your alert message pass through it for delivery, the same way a letter passes through the mail.
  • Our email provider, sends the launch emails to people who registered their interest, including the confirmation email.
  • Our hosting provider, runs the server that watches deadlines and stores the information described above.

These providers may only use the information to do the job we hired them for. We do not sell personal information to anyone, and we do not share it for marketing.

We would only disclose information if the law required it (for example, a valid court order), or to protect someone's safety in a genuine emergency.

Your contacts' information

If you use All Well Daily, you are giving us other people's phone numbers. Please:

  • Only add people who know you are adding them, and who have agreed to be your contact.
  • Keep their numbers up to date, and remove anyone who asks to be removed.

Contacts who receive an alert and want their number removed can email [email protected] and we will arrange it.

How long we keep it

  • App information and check-in records: while your account is active, so the service can work.
  • Register-interest emails: until All Well Daily launches and we have written to you about it, or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your address, whichever comes first.
  • If you ask us to delete your information, we delete it rather than keeping it, except for anything the law requires us to keep.

Your rights and deleting your information

Your information belongs to you. You can:

  • Ask us what information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
  • Ask us to delete your information.

To do any of these, email [email protected], or use the Delete Account/Data page on our website.

Deleting your information stops the service: without your settings and contacts, All Well Daily cannot watch your deadline or send alerts.

Security

We take reasonable care to protect your information: it is stored on systems with access limited to the people who need it to run the service, and it travels over encrypted connections.

No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will tell you and tell the authorities where the law requires it.

Children

All Well Daily is made for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update this page and, where we can, let you know by email or in the app before the change takes effect. The version on this page is always the current one.
